Adiantes Company Limited, part of Northbaze Group AB (Publ.) (” Adiantes”) has successfully completed its first 2022 CSR activity “Crab Bank: Social engagement project for the blue swimming crab restoration that links to international standard”.
Marine fishes and shellfish are a very important source of protein and income for local fisheries and the people of Thailand. It has been recognized that marine fishery regarding the blue swimming crab (BSC) has become depleted due to overfishing. Walailak University (WU) with collaboration with local fisheries throughout Thailand has launched the project “Crab Bank”. The “Crab Bank” focuses on creating a sustainable way of nursing, spawning, and releasing BSC into the ocean to increase the population.
Adiantes is proud to have the opportunity to collaborate with local fisheries in Hua Hin and to be able to release BSC into the ocean, helping the population to increase.
