This July, <a data-mce-href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/adiantes/" href="https://www.linkedin.com/company/adiantes/">Adiantes</a> and <a data-mce-href="https://www.rsmwatchstrap.com/" href="https://www.rsmwatchstrap.com/">RSM Watch Straps</a> are proud to announce the global launch of a new product category: silk watch straps that blend refined craftsmanship, sustainable innovation, and cutting-edge material engineering. Following months of research and development, silk production is now complete, and the straps are ready for global e-commerce release.The foundation of this project began with an unlikely material, artisan-woven silk. Traditionally associated with fashion and textiles, silk is rarely seen in the world of horology. But our team at Adiantes, together with Yiyan Lin, owner of RSM, saw untapped potential in its natural sheen, soft drape, and surprising strength. At Adiantes, we developed a multi-layer construction that preserves the elegance of silk while reinforcing it with modern durability. Inside each strap lies a Zermatt leather lining, soft, hypoallergenic, and water-resistant, ensuring lasting comfort and structure. The silk itself is woven in the European Union by expert mills and handled with extreme care throughout our production in Thailand, where our team uses proprietary techniques to strengthen, stitch, and finish the material without compromising its natural character.Sustainability has remained central throughout the entire development. Silk is a biodegradable, renewable resource, and by partnering with small-scale weavers and producing responsibly in our Thai facility, we uphold a transparent supply chain based on ethical labor and environmental mindfulness. This project reflects Adiantes’ ongoing commitment to sustainable materials, ethical production, and long-term impact, values that increasingly matter to today’s watch enthusiasts.What makes these silk straps stand out is their unique blend of artistry and utility. They are light yet tough, tactile yet precise. The collaboration with RSM also brings in bold design and refined hardware, including their innovative clasp system that protects the material and makes wearing the strap effortless. Energy Efficiency and Emission Reductions </h3>In line with our low-carbon business strategy, we achieved a 19% reduction in energy use per worker through optimized production planning and workforce upskilling.
